2024 Super Champs Information

Squash NZ has made considerable updates to the rules.  Please read prior to submitting teams to ensure you have met the eligability requirments.  Teams looking to enter under the new composite team rules will need to submit a Composite team form to the district by 30th May 2024.

Superchamps Information

  1. a)  Composite teams are made up from two clubs who do not have enough eligible members to form their own team within their club

  2. b)  If two clubs joining cannot make up the numbers for a full team, an extra member may be used from another neighboring club.
    As long as that player is not brought in as a #1 or #2 in the team.
    (There is some discretion on this as to what level the person is, ie. High D1 as opposed to a low D1. - If in doubt send an email through and we can clarify. captain@squashcentral.co.nz

  3. c)  Clubs may combine within their zones only. ie. Taranaki, Ruapehu, Manawatu.

  4. d)  Composite teams do not need to transfer their players to the same club, they remain on their own

    clubs grading list.

  5. e)  Composite forms must be filled in when:

    • ●  Two or more clubs are combining

    • ●  When two or more new members are transferring to the team’s home club

    • ●  Single player transfers need only to fill in the composite form that relates to their club giving

      permission and advising reason for transfer.

  6. f)  Player Code transfers are only to be requested for:

    • ●  Single players joining a clubs team

    • ●  Single players joining a composite team

  • ➔  Composite team requests must be received by 30th May 2024

  • ➔  All Players must have passed their Ref Exam by the 5th June 2024

  • ➔  All player transfers must be completed by 5th June 2024

  • ➔  Grading List will be run 7th June 2024 by SquashNZ

  • ➔  All players must have played 3 competitive matches between 1 Jan and 6 June 2024,

    there will be no exceptions. This is to ensure players SquashLevels are correct.

  • ➔  Entries Close 14th June 2024

  • ➔  Competition Runs 28-30th June, 2024 (Matariki weekend)

2023 Super Champs

Central Super Champs took place over 30th June - 2nd July 2023.  Ohakune took out top honors with the dominating small town club taking 5 of the 10 titles to claim the rights to head to Nationals and represent Ohakune and Central.
It was a massive weekend around the district and Central would like to thanks all the hosts and teams that took part we hope you all enjoyed the weekend.  Congratulations to all the winners and best of luck for Nationals.
