Due to the current lockdown the Central Champion of Champions due to be hosted by Ohakune on the 10 - 12th September has been postponed to a later date this year. Central are still committed to hosting the event even though it will not be a qualifying for the Nationals in Whangarei. We simply have run out of time to go through the usual process.
For entry to Nationals we are requesting players contact us if keen to compete and happy to pay their own way. A copy of the communication sent out is below.

Want to represent Central at the National Champion of Champions in Whangarei on the 1 - 3rd October 2021? Central have run out of time to have the clubs complete their club champs then hold the district event. The Central event has been postponed until a later date however we would still like to give players the opprtunity to compete in the National event. If you are interested in representing for your grade and willing to pay your way there, please let us know by Friday 17th September. If we have several in one grade wanting to attend we will select the higher graded player. Entries for the event close on the 20th September and have to go through the district. We have applied for funding for this event but it has been delayed due to lockdown and is unlikely to come through in time. If it doescome through it will go towards the costs of the players travel and accommodation.
